HDPE Doctor Blade

HDPE doctor blade, made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the substrate, is extruded/molded and precision trimmed. It is an economical and soft roller protection plastic scraper, with the core positioning of cleaning the rubber coated rolls and guide rolls in the forming and press section. It is preferred for low-temperature wet areas and not suitable for high-temperature drying areas.

Use Position of HDPE Doctor Blade

1. Forming Section

The guide roll, wire drive roll, tension roll, correction roll, stretching roll, and couch roll (rubber surface) of the forming section, are used to scrape off dust, wet slurry, and white water, protect rubber coated roll.

2. Press Section

Rubber coated press rolls, vacuum suction rolls, grooved press rolls, and transfer rolls, scraping off accumulated water, wet slurry, and adhered impurities without damaging the rubber surface or the roll surface structure.

3. Auxiliary Cleaning/Paper Guide Roll

The reel unit, rewinder, low-temperature guide roll, and stretching roll are lightweight, clean, and do not scratch the roll surface.

4. Not Applicable Scenarios (Strictly Prohibited from Use)

Dryer cylinder, Yankee Dryer, high temperature calendering and size press roll, hard chrome roll (high temperature/hard surface) – prone to softening, scratching, deformation and failure.

1. Ultimate roller protection, no damage to the rubber surface/soft roll.

2. Self lubricating, non stick, and non stick.

3. Water resistant, acid and alkali resistant, corrosion-resistant, non expanding.

4. Good toughness, impact resistance, and constant cutting ability.

5. Temperature resistance limitations: Long term temperature resistance ≤ 80 ℃, short-term ≤ 100 ℃. It is prone to softening, deformation, curling, and loss of blade rigidity at high temperatures. It is strictly prohibited to use it in dryer cylinders, high-temperature calendering and size press rolls.
